ABOUT KEIRA

Hi! I'm Keira; born and raised on the Cornish coast in the United Kingdom, with itchy feet and a passion for exploring new places.

Photography has been an interest of mine for as long as I can remember, from the classic attempt at macro flowers in your back garden (we all start somewhere, right?), to staging photoshoots with friends at eleven years old.

​

Predominantly self taught, besides a photography college class in school that introduced me to the world of Adobe programmes and the basics of a camera, I've learnt my way through practice and determination over the years.

​

Now, at twenty three, I've dabbled in many different photography genres (portrait, interior, concert, wedding, landscape, etc.), to finally come across the one that really fuels my passion: wildlife.

​

Had I not have embarked on an eight week adventure on an internship within Kruger National Park in South Africa, I would never have realised this was my calling. You know the thing you realise you want to do for the rest of your life, that thing you could never get bored of? That's the one.

 

Throw my love for nature, conservation and photography into a blender and you have, apparently, my dream job.

All of this to say, whilst I've found my thing within wildlife photography specifically, I'm most comfortable when I'm behind a camera, shooting whatever I can - creative portraits, location couple shoots, concerts and gigs, you name it, I'm all over it.

​

I'm slowly starting to try and make this more of a side hustle than just a "hobby", and I'm constantly looking for more opportunities to add to my portfolio.
